I think this is the first time in two or three months that I didn’t post for more than a week on this blog. Thing is that the break I didn’t take, even with the holiday season, in December, after six months of nonstop academic writing, finally gave me a fried brain. That means that I’ve spent the last week or so trying to relax and recharge my poor mind.
I’ve at least manage to go through some personal and research related documents, and sort a few things out. Yet, I’ve not done actual academic writing since between Christmas and New Year Eve. I’m two months early on my book writing schedule, so I’m not worried that I’ll fall off the wagon in a dramatic fashion. I just feel weird not being doing any such writing right now, or even plotting for future projects.
When I said fried brain, I very much meant it!
I’ve been reading some non fiction books since beginning of 2014 and have quite a few more lined up, more for my personal growth and interest than anything academic though.
I’m hoping that I can get back into the swing of things by next week for my Farscape and Babylon 5 chapter, because I miss working on my research and writing – including posting here – but so far brain and body didn’t give me the green light, so I’m trying to be patient.
In the meantime, I posted one of my recent videos. It is my second one for 2001: A Space Odyssey, and one of my most accomplished videos so far. At least, I do feel as such! When I first heard Paradise (What about us?) by Within Temptation feat. Tarja, I had to vid the song and for this movie. The muse hit me hard and I remember making the video right away and completed it in the evening – or rather night. It is also one of the videos I most commented when interviewed for the web documentary Call Me Kate! – besides an older X-Files video, the Scully centric one Praying and Fighting.
